About the DiSC Assessment

THE DiSC ASSESSMENT

The Everything DiSC assessment will help you discover your personal DiSC style. It will teach you about your personality and give you the tools to help you communicate effectively with other styles that vary from your own.

WHAT DO DiSC ASSESSMENTS DO?

After completing the DiSC assessment, you receive a helpful report. The report will explain your unique style and personality in detail, and offer guidelines for interacting with other styles. The guidelines will help with effective communication, team building, and conflict resolution. Each DiSC style has their preferred way of communicating, which is why people, more times than not, have misunderstandings and miscommunications.

The assessment will teach you techniques to flex your personality and communication style to better understand others’ preferred way of communicating. When different styles learn how to communicate effectively, the team building has already begun.

It will give your employees motivation and satisfaction because they know they are being heard within their team. This will then help lower turnover rates and utilize all your employees’ strengths. Not only will DiSC help your employees feel more confident in themselves, but it will also teach them how to be confident when dealing with conflict. When conflict arises, you will be able to take into account an employees’ style and work out a solution in order to resolve the conflict at hand.

LEARN MORE ABOUT YOURSELF

Remember how the report explains your unique style? First, you are going to receive a personal map. In the map, you will find your dot placement which represents your story. This dot is your dot. The placement on the map tells more than you think. Where is the shading? Is it centered or on the edge? What are your motivators, stressors, and priorities?

DISC assessment D

DOMINANCE

The best word to describe the D personality style would be direct. People with D style are not afraid to assert their opinions or ideas on the people around them. There are a few factors that help the D style to push hard for what they want. First, people with the D style have a strong sense of self-assurance and they tend to have a clear vision of how things “should be.” They are not overly concerned about others opinions or reactions to what they are saying. Since they feel what is right— and they do not want to compromise what is right— they will overlook others’ emotions. They even might think that others are too sensitive.

Their drive and result-oriented minds are what makes them blunt and impatient. Considering others feelings and choosing their words carefully takes a lot of time that they would rather spend making progress on the goal at hand. The drive may move things along but can be at the expense of others.

DISC assessment I

INFLUENCE

If you were to describe the i personality style with a single word it would be positivity. People with i style are very lively, optimistic, and inclusive. When you put all these characteristics together, you get someone who is extremely enthusiastic in what they do. They love meeting new people and mingling every chance they get.

People with the i style will throw themselves into foreign experiences and live completely in the moment. They tend to not filter themselves and do not worry about being self-conscious. Their main focal point is to have fun. When in a crowd, they see ample opportunity for potential social rewards. Whether they’re connecting with someone or being the life of the party, they love being around people.

DISC assessment S

STEADINESS

People with the S personality style are motivated by harmony, which is manifested in different parts of their life. Someone with an S style likes to create smooth and harmonious relationships with people, and tend to be patient, accommodating, and tactful. When they want things to run smoothly, they accommodate on another person’s behalf, and let them get what they want. Their desire for harmony stems to how they pay attention to others or even how they react. They show empathy for others so that their feelings won’t get hurt. However, this desire for harmony does not mean that a person with an S style does not genuinely care for someone else’s feelings. They still have genuine concerns, yet they accommodate the happiness of others, so that others will appreciate and accept them. This will also ensure happy and peaceful relationships.

Harmony is manifested when it comes to completing tasks. The S stands for Steadiness, so in order to keep harmony and stability, the S style avoids chaos and too much change. They don’t mind doing routine tasks, or having predictability in their work. It gives them time to plan things out and to know what’s coming. When measuring the S style, we also use adjectives like mild-mannered, calm, and even-tempered. This means that they show a peaceful demeanor, even if they are feeling stressed, or think that things are getting chaotic.

DISC assessment C

CONSCIENTIOUS

The C personality style is the most complex of the four styles. The three characteristics are independent, but are still related: accurate, analytical, and introverted. The C style is very accurate on their credibility. To them, someone who gives inaccurate information loses their credibility. They are also very concerned for their own credibility, and for being criticized. So it’s more about avoiding being wrong, rather than being right. People with the C style like to spend more of their time gathering the facts, in order to make what they’re saying accurate. They tend to over-rely on logic, because it ensures their decisions to be justifiable.

The tendency to analyze and the focus for accuracy are both related. People with the C style like to dissect each part of their idea, and take time to think about them. They perform systematic and methodical analysis to ensure their ideas are correct and make sense. They even take great satisfaction in mastering their work and developing their expertise.

The third characteristic is introversion, which isn’t necessarily obviously related to accuracy. When C styles tend to be more reserved and quiet in social situations, it is because of things getting messy. It’s hard for them to be “right” or come up with a solution, because it’s hard to predict what will happen. By default, they remain quiet.

The C style also has less of a need for external stimulation, which stems from a tendency to be reflective and contemplative. Unlike someone with an i style, they don’t like to externalize their thoughts or even find pleasure in expressing themselves. People with a C style are more likely to find pleasure in figuring something out, which can result in gaining their expertise, controlling their environment, and creating a greater sense of competency.
